Ventura Boulevard Self-Storage Being Planned

While, L.A.’s self-storage industry continues to expand, two new facilities are being planned along Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley. A Chicago based firm, Banner Real Estate Group are hoping to break ground on there three-story, 158,000-square-foot self storage which would be located at 20401 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. The climate-controlled self storage facility would be located on what is currently a vacant parking lot. The firm recently registered its plans with the city of Los Angeles , which comes over two years after the property owner filed plans for a four-story, 149-key hotel on the site, which was subsequently shelved. The developer of the project, South Carolina-based Johnson Development Associates, hopes to subdivide the property in order to build a six-story storage warehouse with 7,000 square feet of office space.
