Talaria – a for-rent housing and retail project in Burbank – has officially opened after nearly two decades in the making by developer Cusumano Real Estate Group.
Located near Warner Bros. Studios at 3425 W. Olive Ave., Talaria is anchored by a 42,000 square-foot Whole Foods Market with a Stage 71 restaurant and pub.
Made up of one-, two- and three-bedroom and townhouse-style units, Talaria has a battery of on-site amenities targeting entertainment professionals, including a 34-seat private screening room, dry bar salon, fitness center with spin room and saunas, lap pool, expansive common areas, pet spa, dog run with play park, three courtyards and a rooftop lounge. The large residences include features such as Jenn-Air kitchen appliances, Front Load washers and dryers, designer closets, Nest thermostats, and stone and tile bath finishes.
Service amenities include on-site concierge and a business center.
One bedrooms at Talaria start at 821 square feet for $3,305; two bedrooms start at 1,250 square feet for $4,510; and three bedrooms start at 1,413 square feet for $5,120. Penthouses are 2,385 or 3,156 square feet and rent for $16,050 or $18,000, respectively.
“Talaria Burbank was envisioned to be a cutting-edge urban community based upon sustainable design and the best possible amenities,” said Michael Cusumano, vice president at Cusumano Real Estate Group.
“We designed Talaria to be responsive to its complex context – single family and duplex residential to the north, open space and future mid-rise office use to the east, dense mid-rise office use to the south, and freeway and high-rise office to the west. In response to the low density residential, the height of the building was dropped and the residential building was setback from street edge, creating a raised courtyard and distance to the residences,” said Gustaf Soderbergh, principal at VTBS Architecture, in a statement.
