The holidays aren’t quite over yet. Los Angeles New Years Eve is just around the corner and there are many kid-friendly events going on in the area. As one of the largest metros with ample amounts of things to do, you’ll want to make this New Years a family tradition for years to come.

Experience Grand Park at this years N.Y.E LA taking place from 6 pm to 12:30 am. This is a family-friendly jamboree that stretches over 12 acres of Grand Park from The Music Center Plaza to Spring Street. There will be live performers as well as DJ’s and dances for entertainment. A variety of food trucks will be scattered about for attendees to indulge in. A live feed from the infamous Times Square ball drop will be shown at 9 pm. In order to keep the New Years safe, all metro bus and rail lines will provide free service from 9 pm to 2am.

The Zimmer Children’s Museum is hosting Los Angeles New Years Eve, no family will forget. Kids will be able to do arts and crafts. They can decorate their own party favors and noisemakers for the countdown. Two ball drops will be done, so families can decided how long they would like to stay. The balloons drop at 11:15 am, 12:15 pm, 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm. The museum offers interactive exhibits that kids can enjoy. Ring in the new year with exciting, dazzling fun.

Citywalk Theatres in Universal City is one of the most family-friendly Los Angeles New Years Eve events. This laid-back event starts at 9 pm and families can choose between 5 classic Universal movies. After attendees will celebrate with a live DJ countdown party. Admission tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets include a soft drink, all-you-can-eat popcorn and a goodie bag. The feature movies include E.T., Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Dracula and Frankenstein. This year this event won’t have fireworks or outdoor concerts.

Downtown Burbank is also another exciting experience for families and young kids. The AMC Theatres will be showing movies throughout the night. There is also ice skating at The Rink until 9:30 pm and optimal dining choices. One of the top places is PizzaRev, where kids will be able to create their very own pizza. This New Years keep it safe and it will be a evening you will never forget.
