Erewhon to Reopen as Anchor Tenant in Palisades Village

Upscale organic grocer Erewhon will return as the anchor tenant at Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, with reconstruction underway on a fully rebuilt store featuring an expanded outdoor patio, the company announced Wednesday.

The announcement comes nearly a year after the devastating Palisades Fire, which ignited Jan. 7 and destroyed more than 6,800 structures across the affluent coastal neighborhood, including hundreds of homes and businesses. While Palisades Village largely survived the blaze due to private firefighting efforts and fire-resistant materials, the center has remained closed for extensive refurbishment to remove potential contaminants.

“We’re honored to join the incredible effort underway at Palisades Village,” Erewhon CEO and Co-Founder Tony Antoci said in a statement. “Reopening is a meaningful way for us to contribute to the healing and renewal of this neighborhood.”

The rebuilt Erewhon will include a café and tonic bar.

“Bringing Erewhon back to Palisades Village is a major step forward for the entire community,” said Jackie Levy, chief financial and revenue officer for developer Caruso, which owns the open-air shopping center.

Other returning tenants include luxury retailer elysewalker, while high-end home goods store Elizabeth Lamont has already reopened nearby with fire-recovery discounts.

Palisades Village is targeted for a full reopening in 2026.
