The Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation crowned Glendale the Most Business-Friendly City in the “Large City” category at the 30th Annual EDDY Awards held at the Rose Bowl. Glendale Community Development Director Bradley Calvert credited the honor to years of focused city staff work to make the community welcoming and efficient for businesses. The accolade caps a multi-year push of streamlined processes and targeted economic development efforts that have repeatedly placed Glendale among the LAEDC’s top five business-friendly cities. Signature programs cited by the city include a free Human Resources Hotline, concierge development services, the Artsakh Creative Program that animates vacant storefronts, the annual “Let’s Grow Glendale” Small Business Summit, and a suite of tech-support initiatives such as the Tech Startup Growth Program and Glendale Tech Week.
