62-Unit Apartment Project Proposed in Reseda

A 62-unit mixed-use apartment building with a retail component has been proposed for Reseda, per an application filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project – located at 6909-6923 N. Reseda Blvd. near the intersection of Sherman Way – would necessitate the razing of a mid-century medical office building currently at that address.

The new five-story multifamily structure would feature apartment units atop 6,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 62-vehicle parking area.

GA Engineering is designing the contemporary building, which would include a rear yard, courtyard and rooftop deck.

Viewmont is seeking the approval of Transit Oriented Communities incentives, which would permit increased height and reduced setbacks in exchange for five dwellings aside as affordable housing.
