Calabasas, Encino Appear on List of Priciest ZIP Codes

PropertyShark has released its annual list of the 100 priciest ZIP codes for residential properties and two of North Los Angeles neighborhoods – Encino and Calabasas – have made the ranking.

Encino’s 91436 ranked No. 59 on the list with a median sale price of $1.99 million. Calabasas’ 91302 ZIP code ranked No. 65 with a median home price of $1.93 million.

Atherton in San Mateo County topped the list with a median sale price of $7.5 million, followed by a Boston ZIP code and Sagaponack, Mass., both in Suffolk County. Ross in Marin County, Miami Beach, Beverly Hills; and Montecito’s 91308 ZIP code in Santa Barbara County with a median price of $4.1 million rounded out the top seven spots.

California claimed six of the list’s top 10 spots while Los Angeles County proved to be “the hottest county in the country for expensive real estate with 21 of the priciest ZIPs,” the study said.

Ranking no. 21, Pacific Palisades claimed the highest spot among Los Angeles ZIP codes with a median sale price of $3.25 million.

To determine the most expensive ZIP codes in the nation, Property Shark looked at residential transactions closed between Jan. 1 and Oct. 22 of this year. The survey took into account condos, co-ops and single- and two-family homes.
